Many women have trouble with too much weight in their thighs, and they are self conscious about it.  The good news is that there are things that can be done in order to reduce the amount of weigh in the thigh area.  Besides a low carbohydrate diet, here are a few very simple exercises that can be done for kissing your jiggled thighs goodbye.

  • Perform Aerobic Exercise – Things like swimming, biking, or running three times a week minimum can help with burning off the excess fat and defining your upper legs.  If you haven’t been exercising regularly, start off walking about 20 minutes and then increase this gradually  to 45 minutes a session. You can also do in-line skating or walk with ankle weights. This extra weight is going to provide resistance for strengthening and toning your leg muscles.
  • Do 10 squats, take a rest, and then do another 10 each day.  Stand while your back’s against something stable, such as a wall, with your legs about a foot apart and bending forward slightly. Inhale, and then slide down until your knees are at an angle that is almost 90 degrees.  As you are exhaling, slide back to your starting position.

  • Do a couple of sets of ten leg lifts on a daily basis.  First lay on one side, either your right or left, with a mat beneath you on the floor. You should have your elbow resting upon the ground and your hand should be beneath your head.  When you exhale, lift your upper leg high slowly, like a scissor.  Then lower it, inhaling it as you do so. Then repeat it on the other side.
  • Do a couple of sets of ten leg extensions each day. Lay down on your chest on your mat on the floor, your legs extended behind you.  Exhale and then lift one leg from the ground as far up as you can.  Then lower your leg as you inhale.  Then do the same exercise on the other leg.

Jiggled thighs can be embarrassing, especially when the time for bathing suits and shorts come around.  But they can be firmed up and looking great with these exercises and above and a healthy diet. Don’t forget – it’s important to consult a doctor if you have health problems or if you haven’t exercised for a while.  Take it slowly and soon you will find that you have the thighs that you have always dreamed of having.
